NEED HELP
At the mid of this month, a symposium between foreign students in Kumamoto prefecture will be held in the city. Some of us are supposed to give speech. Among 3 topics, I chose to talk about introduction of Cambodia whose title is ” Do you know Cambodia?” . As far as I know, since most people get to know our country by Khmer Rouge regime, they don’t have good image towards her. Despite that, I want to tell the world that we have a lots of fascinating things and characteristics that they can be attracted to. Technically, we do have those… lolz
Have you ever given this sort of speech? Would you mind sharing with me to the point you raised up? About what do you recommend me to talk? Anything intense to share? I do need some cool pictures, documents, idea… Any of these is highly accepted.
I’d appreciate any information from you.
I know Khmer rough is the hot topic now, but it represents about our darkness. I know the world would know about that.
Why don’t u pick a topic that show them about our successful or famous time instead of the sad and terrible story?
Why don’t u talk about Angkor Wat temple? Ur major is architect, right?
tell them about our heritage, famous architecture in the world, and incredible concept. How to build it and how long it take, how many people involved, who involved to build it?
About how to give a speech, I did several times. I told them the history, facts, disadvantages and advantages, and what the topic relate to present time and future, my conclusion [my thought].
Actually, it is up to you. Whatever u feel comfortable and confident, just do it.

Having seen the title of your speech, I think what you need to point out in your speech should be:
1. Cambodia in Brief (History of Pre Angkorian, Angkorian and Post Angkorian Period).
2. The most notice events in Cambodia history
3. Cambodia Current Context in Brief (e.g. political, economic, and so on)
4. Why Cambodia? (such as about why Cambodia the best place to travel or visit, business opportunities in Cambodia…)
5. Sum-up/Wrap-up what you mention
P.S. Remember! You give speech to impress them about Cambodia and expect them to visit or do something in Cambodia.

I’ve done with that. A presentation for my teacher, my topic was about Drugs in Cambodia. I don’t think it’s good for you to present such a topic here… Maybe about History of Cambodia, Resorts or The Power of Rainna, oops, sorry “ The Power of Cambodia” . Or Just like The Empires Khmer… But not Cambodia cuz it’s such a big thing to say. Bro. Vannara’s idea is great…
